And one question is particularly plaguing: should you go trendy or timeless when you purchase an engagement ring? You’re going to have to consider not only what she likes right now, but what you think she might like down the road (unless you are okay with an upgrade every few years to stay on top of current trends). However, there are a couple of tricks to help you decide whether trendy is the right choice for your special someone.
In truth, you can have the best of both worlds if you do a little research. As it happens, fashions tend to recycle themselves. If you look at wedding rings over the last hundred years, you’ll see that styles that are in vogue today have likely gone in and out of fashion several times.
